Dr. Asit Arora is a Senior Surgical Gastroenterologist and Gastrointestinal & HPB Oncosurgeon in the Delhi NCR region. He is currently serving as the Director & Head of the Division of GI & HPB Oncology at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Saket, Gurugram, and Max Smart. Previously, he was the Senior Consultant in Surgical Gastroenterology and GI Oncosurgery at Dharamshila Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi (2017 to 2019), and the Associate Professor of HPB Surgery at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi (2013 to 2017).

Dr. Arora graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Karnataka, in 2003, and completed his post-graduation in General Surgery from the prestigious SMS Medical College, Jaipur, in 2007. He developed a keen interest in Gastrointestinal Surgery and pursued super-specialization in this field at the esteemed G.B. Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi. After completing his M.Ch. in Surgical Gastroenterology in 2012, he joined the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, as an Assistant Professor. He was later promoted to Associate Professor of HPB Surgery, where he served until September 2017. He then established the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology and GI Oncosurgery at Dharamshila Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi, where he worked until December 2019.

Dr. Arora is not only an exceptional clinician and surgeon, but his greatest strength lies in treating patients with compassion. With more than 15 years of surgical experience, he is an avid researcher, having authored over 30 national and international publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has made numerous presentations at prestigious scientific forums worldwide, authored chapters in prominent medical textbooks, and is a leading and sought-after speaker at conferences both in India and abroad.

His areas of expertise include Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Gastrointestinal Oncosurgery, and HPB Cancer Surgery. He has a special interest in the management of Gallbladder cancer, Pancreatic cancer, Neuroendocrine tumors, Minimally Invasive GI Oncosurgery, and VATS Esophageal surgery.

Dr. Arora is also deeply involved in cancer care and has collaborated with various institutions to further advance cancer treatment in the country. He has recently joined the Max Institute of Cancer Care, where he aims to provide the best possible treatment for patients. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Arora has received numerous awards and accolades, which are a testament to his skills, devotion, hard work, and scientific proficiency.
